The Disconnect

The disconnect between thoughts and feelings can be vast...

You can be full of thoughts. Opinions about things and people and never notice how you feel about those same things.

This is often times more of an issue for males. But females definitely experience it. Although perhaps how it actually manifests is different for you ladies.

A man can think about a person and be pissed at them. But in that same breath feel the emotion of missing hanging out with them.

Perhaps similar for females? Where they can be pissed at their car. But also grateful for it when they can run an errand that needs to be done.

Or perhaps she’s upset that someone isn’t there for her. But when she takes a few more moments on the topic she knows they are going through stuff in their own life and she cannot expect them to be there for her on instant notice.

Are you fed up with someone, but you still enjoy their company?

Are you feeling happy with someone, but they keep betraying you?

Are you enjoying your job, but a leader is failing the company?

Does your mom always answer your calls, but the only things she says are critical and abusive back to you?

Is your friend really awesome and you love them, but drinking alcohol with them is edging you closer and closer to alcoholism?

Well... that's all fine and dandy, right? But at the same time... "So what?" right?

Stop and breathe a moment.

Seriously stop and breathe.

Remember to do that, breathe, the next time you get upset with someone or about someone. Don't make a permanent decision for a temporary problem. And certainly don't let the heat of now make you forget the happy warm of yesterday or tomorrow.
