Sometimes the Answer is to Stop Wrestling

Sometimes the Answer is to Stop Wrestling

Say 56 drawing everyday

I’ve been learning a new life lesson lately.

We all wrestle with things like emotions, addictions, depression, loneliness, security, ideas, current events, and more. And sometimes they aren’t huge things. Sometimes they are just relationships, deciding what to wear to something special, how to word that message, or how to promote more people using the Oxford Comma.

But lately, with the non earth shattering stuff, I have been learning a new lesson. Stop wrestling with the things I’m constantly wrestling with. The fact that I am wrestling with it means I don’t have peace. And sometimes the problem isn’t the problem. Sometimes the problem is you’re fighting against yourself. You might actually want what’s good but you’re wrestling against yourself because you've convinced yourself you should want otherwise or think otherwise.

So I’m taking a step back. And a few things about me I am choosing to accept and embrace. And stop wrestling with myself. It’s time to just accept reality. Because now that I am letting go of that tight emotional wrestling grip… I can move forward!
