Life Is Such A Black Hole

Life Is Such A Black Hole

Have you ever stopped and thought about just how much things in the past, or in your immediate "now" present suck up all your attention and emotional energy?

The "past" and the "present now" are truly black holes. They can constantly pull and draw you towards them unrelentingly. Now some people are strong or blessed. They don't struggle with their attention being pulled by these. And then there are also people who have the opposite problem. The future is so alluring they can never be "present" here and now. Dreamers, workaholics, high level athletes and achievers are people that often struggle with that.

But stop and think maybe. How much of your day to day life is filled with thoughts and memories of the past. You only have 24 hours in a day. How many of those hours are you spending going over the things of the past?

Or similarly, how many of your hours each day are spent lost in the humdrum of daily life. With no time to dream, or plan for the future.

If you're over the age of 30 you've probably realized time moves with or without your consent. And it moves fast. Very fast. If you blink a year can disappear on you. Blink twice a decade has come and gone.

The balance is remembering the past when it's important. Being focused on the present, because the people in your life need you! But also carving out time to dream and hope and plan for the things you want to achieve!

The struggle is that regardless of which type of person you are, which time pulls you the most, is to not allow yourself to get solely focused on one of them!

Regardless of which type of person you are, one (or more!) will pull you constantly, day after day until the years of your life have drifted away and opportunities are dwindling.

Recapture the steering wheel of your life. Don't let one time or another suck you in! Especially the past. The past is the most brutal of them all. Not only does the past steal your time, but it breeds bitterness and revertigo!
