Are You Willing to Be Changed?

We want our lives to be different, which is to change. But we don't turn the camera view around from what we are looking at and wanting, to see and realize that it's us who has to change.

Are You Willing to Be Changed?

Most of us look towards the horizon of our lives, the great "tomorrow" or "next year" view of our lives. And most of us want and hope for things. Whether those things are prosperity, security, safety, relationships, healing, freedom from the past, forgiveness, or any other number of things.

But they all boil down to hope, hope for things to change in good ways.

We want our lives to be different, which is to change. But we don't turn the camera view around from what we are looking at and wanting, to see and realize that it's us who has to change. It's us who have to change, for the future to change.

  • You cannot be more financially secure tomorrow, if you don't change your money habits today.
  • You cannot have more security tomorrow, if you hold onto toxic relationships and mindsets today that drive you towards pain and loss.
You cannot continue thinking the way you do today, and have a different life tomorrow.

So at the end of the day… if you want something to be different you need to start with

“What am I willing to give up, what am I willing to let go of today, so that I can have what I want tomorrow?”

Because it’s your brain or your heart that refuses to give up something. And it’s that something that will keep you from what you’re called to… from what you really want…

  1. Quit complaining
  2. Quit playing the victim
  3. Ask the Lord to change you
  4. And then Allow The Lord to change you

And that last step is the tough one. Because in order to allow The Lord to change you, you have to allow a part of you to end. And that feeling is like grieving, it's like watching a friend pass away. It's heart wrenching, scary, painful, and filled with uncertainty.

But in the end, you will be stronger and closer to your hopes and dreams.
