Are You Convincing Yourself Of Something?

If you're on the net there's a lot of relationship related discussions flying in every which way. Some good, some bad, some healthy, some toxic.

One of the biggest problems I often see is that someone is merging "what not to do in a toxic relationship" with "what to do in a healthy relationship".

For example, are you merging your life with someone and giving more of yourself? But in return is the relationship going deeper or staying the same?

Some people dive headlong into a relationship, giving 2000% of themselves into it. But the other person in the relationship doesn't change, and doesn't care to change.

This can be seen when a woman engages more in the man's life, helping with the man's home and such. But the man never gives more of himself, never moves the relationship forward, never changes to be more faithfully focused. And then later the woman is upset and advises other women not to help with her man's home.

Well if you are in a healthy relationship then you should be giving more of yourself to help the other person. That goes both ways for sure, 💯.

He should be giving more of himself to her life, and she should be giving more of herself to his life.

That's the road to merging your lives permanently after all.

You know... merging is how you merge...

But it's toxic people that are vampires, leeches, etc. These are the people that take from you but never really give back. Those people you should not be engaging with and you should not be giving of yourself to them.
